Lightfast
A combat racing game in making
Our first release is going to be a mobile game Lightfast, a 3D online multiplayer combat racing game with platformer elements for gamers on the go, featuring fast races on a continuously developing track ring revolving in space.
Lightfast's immediately gratifying, low-commitment gameplay is stylized with a futuristic aesthetic. The visuals feature bold color combinations, complemented by an equally saturated sound design. Lightfast will be a visually stimulating game with intuitive controls and a shallow learning curve. With its straightforward UI, androgynous runners, radiant environment, and a range of customizable options it is inclusive of any age, race, or gender.
Gameplay
A first-person competitive racing game with 4 to 8 players (online multiplayer or offline with bots). Each match is relatively short, ranging from 1 to 3 minutes on average. During the race, players fight against each other using power-ups; the last one standing wins the game.
The running track starts to self-destruct after the first lap, creating obstacles. Each track is then procedurally generated (from a random seed) and modified by players during the course of each race. Therefore, players train skills, not the memory of the track's obstacles. In the final lap, a lifeboat pod to escape the collapsing track is presented to the surviving players.
